Dear Customer,

before ordering please read carefully over these standard terms & conditons we provide here. If you have any questions about them please do not hesitate to contact us. Once the order is placed we have to stick to these regulations in order to give you and us a transparent and clear transaction policy.

Payment
Every customer have to be verified. We do work with several different software tools to achieve a best practise verification in order to prevent false shipping or credit card fraut. We do use beside an AVS (address verification software), email and IP tracing tools, telephone-book lookup, people search engines and the standard Credit Card Verification and Approval software, provided by the major credit cards.

Once a customer is verified we will charge the credit card. If not we will and have to contact the prospect customer to double-check with the given information.

Attention: Please be aware that we will and have to distinguish between billing and shipping address. Sometimes these addresses might vary - sometimes not.

Shipping Requirements & Shipping & Delivery-Time
We will not ship to areas where we can not guarantee a tracking or verification, which means for example Nigeria. For sure we invite every customer to pay with PayPal.

We will not ship to P.O. Boxes - unless otherwise discussed and confirmed by us

We do work together with the international main carrier Deutsche Post AG / DHL on basis of a business contractor. This means that we do have very good rates on shipping and very reasonable shipping timeframes.

USA

Economy Shipping: 3 - 4 weeks (is included within the displayed price)
Express / Air Mail Shipping: within 2 weeks (can be done upon additional request)


These delivery-times are based on our experiences with international shipping and the estimated guidelines of the carrier. Nevertheless we have to rely on 3rd parties like the mail, the customs and the cuckoo clock manufacturers and therefore we can not guarantee that the clock will arrive within the given time.

Especially for Christmas Deliveries: We will do whatever we can do to ship your Christmas order in time - but due to the high shipping volume we can not guarantee that the order arrives in time. Therefore we recommend that you place your order timely so that it will be submitted with enough time space. If the order did not arrive before Christmas - than please contact us and tell us that you like to return the shipment if you do not longer need it. Nevertheless you will be responsible for the shipping costs - due to the fact that we do not own the shipment carrier and therefore we can not be made responsible for late shipping. Please also keep in mind that due to the increasing security status of customs all shipments will be checked before they will be repacked. This also can result in a delay, which can not be anticipated by us.

If your clock should take more than 4 weeks longer than the delivery-time mentioned on our website, please contact us.

Warranty & Repair
All clocks do come with a manufacturer warranty - mostly every clock is covered by a two year warranty, starting at the time you receive it. Since the warranty is a service which will be provided by the single clock manufacturer it will be his duty to take care of. We will assist you in very way to get this done - but we will be not the ones who can repair the clock. Please keep in mind that the repair service on the warranty base will not include the shipping costs - which have to be covered by you.

The clock is insured for shipping - which will cover all costs if the clock arrives damaged or never arrived. Once the clock arrived and the clock set up was done, the warranty takes over and the shipping insurance vanishes. If you should experience problems during the warranty period, we will help you to find the best option to get your clock fixed. This can mean sending a replacement clock by the manufacturer, or repairing the clock at one of our service stations located in the USA / UK or sending it back to the manufacturer.

Of course warranty does not cover damages caused by the customer. Please contact us immediately - not later than one week after the arrival of the clock, if your clock should have arrived damaged.

Cancelling an order
You may cancel an order without problems as long as the clock has not been shipped.

Your order cannot be cancelled without problems once it has shipped and is in transit.

If the clock has been shipped & we processed your card, or if it has arrived and you want to return it without reason (this also means that you do not like it any more or it does not look like you expected), you have to carry the return shipping-costs and a 15 % restocking fee for the item. The original shipping costs can not be refunded. The restocking fee shall be assessed to cover handling, credit card charge-backs & bank fees and customs declaration fees once the product will be shipped back. If your order has shipped, you will be responsible for shipping both ways.

Of course this regulation does not apply in case of clock damages.

Picture service
If you need a clock for a special occasion (e.g. Christmas or a Birthday) and the clock cannot be delivered on time, we can send a letter with a picture of the clock and a text of your choice to announce the arrival of the clock. This service is free of charge.

Customs
All parcels will be shipped with the appropriate customes declaration papers. However, depending on where you live, it is possible that you may have to pay customs duty when your clock arrives. This depends on your local laws - we have no control over that. Nevertheless we can not be made responsible for any additional customs payment since we can not influence this and it is the sole responsiblity for the customer to take care of that.

US-Customers sometimes have to pay nothing at all, sometimes about 6% of the value given on our website. Customers in the European Union do not have to pay customs.

If you live in another county you should try to get information about customs before ordering. It is our experience that customs duty can be very expensive in some countries, for example in India or Indonesia.
All orders are already calculated without the German TAX / VAT. Every customer have to pay his or her local tax charge, which will become due when you receive the delivery. Please note therefore the US-custom regulations:
The merchant may charge you for the cost of mailing or shipping, but he can not charge you for US customs duties. Customs duties are not assessed until a package arrives in the United States, and the cannot paid in advance. The Postal Service in the United States will collect any duty owed by the recipient. In fact, by law, only the designated recipient (addressee) is liable for duty. The shipments´s originator - the merchant - will not be charged for goods that he has sent to the states.

Possible differences between the delivered clocks and the pictures on the website
Please note that on some clocks there may be slight differences between the picture on the web and the actual clock. For example there may or may not be "Made in Germany" engraved in the clock's dial. This depends on the manufacturer and the production lots, and we have no control over this.

The exact color of stained (brown) clocks is always a little different. The process of staining the wood sometimes produces a little lighter or darker results.Some of the pictures that we have on our website show the clocks with (white) plastic hands. We will ship the clocks with wooden hands whenever possible, since we have made the experience that most of our customers prefer this. Clocks that mention wooden hands in the description will ALWAYS ship with wooden hands. Clocks that do not mention this MAY ship with wooden hands, but we can not guarantee this. The color of the wooden hands is a light brown. If you rather want the white plastic hands please leave a note for us in the "special wishes" field when ordering.
Currently on many clocks like Hönes or Schneider, the simple dancers are replaced by much more detailed ones. Some clocks on our website may still show the old version while the actual clock already ships with the new dancers. This also applies to some other moving figures. All of those changes are improvements, the figures used today are more detailed (and more valuable) than the old ones. We will update our website as soon as current pictures are available.

The terms "1-day cuckoo clock" and "8-day cuckoo clock" are traditional symbolic names for two kinds of clockworks. It is possible that the clocks have to be pulled up again before the time indicated by the name has passed. So many "8-day cuckoo clocks" have to be pulled up each 7 days.

Applicable Law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany governs these Terms & Conditions and any dispute that might arise between you and us.

Privacy
We respect your privacy. We want to build a long-term relationship with a satisfied customer, based upon excellent service and trust. We will not release personal details to any third party, unless it is necessary to process your payment or shipping. Please see therefore our Privacy Statement
